Tony Ridgley, Customer Service Apprenticeship, Amersham & Wycombe College

with No Comments

I have worked at Chiltern Railways for 2 years in their High Wycombe station ticket office and am about to finish my case study - Tony RidgleyApprenticeship (NVQ L2) in Customer Service.

I hadn’t done any form of studying since university, so I was a bit nervous to start with, but the tutor from the college explained it so well that I decided to go for it. I am really glad I did – you need to be committed to do it, but the rewards are really good; I am proud of what I am achieving in my qualification and in my job. I can increase my theoretical learning with real life experience and the theoretical side is teaching me how to better deal with challenging situations at work and giving me a greater awareness of customer needs.I would really recommend training in this way – it’s nothing to be frightened of, even if you haven’t studied since school, it is really interesting and you can apply what you learn straight away.
