The ‘Royal’ Work Experience at Bucks TV

with No Comments

Okay,

so the title was a bit misleading… there weren’t any ‘Royals’ involved in our most recent work experience success story. But. There were two young men 15 & 16 years old called Harry and William, which is close enough to warrant a title like that.

As you’ve probably worked out by now, WANNABEbucks.org is place where you can find work experience, apprenticeships, and jobs in and around Buckinghamshire along with everything you need to know about each type of vacancy.

Harry and William came to WANNABE earlier this year with the idea of finding something productive and fun to do during their summer holidays, that would help them in their future careers. Since both of them are interested in the area of filming, media, and production they were drawn to a work experience vacancy at Bucks TV, an early supporter of WANNABEbucks.org and local business.

Bucks TV offered a flexible work experience placement that suited their needs and surpassed their expectations. The vacancy posted on WANNABE explained the types of tasks the young men could expect to be doing day to day which included working on all aspects of video production, attending filming shoots, researching video reports and arranging locations.

Overall the experience was a great one for both the young men involved and Richard Carr the owner of Bucks TV. After the week long placement there have also been arrangements made for some extended work experience to give them more chances to learn and develop their skills in the film & production industry. Watch the video below to hear from both Harry and William about their experience and how it’s put them ahead for the future: (They even created the video themselves)
