Minimum wage for Apprentices to increase from April 2018

with No Comments

The pay packets of many Apprentices will be boosted from April 2018, following the announcement in yesterday’s budget that the Minimum Wage for Apprentices will increase by 20p from the current rate of £3.50 per hour to £3.70.

The welcome news is the latest increase in wage rates for Apprentices, following a number of increases in recent years.

It’s important to state that the Minimum Wage rate is exactly that, and that the majority of employers pay in excess of that, depending on their sector, the level of the Apprenticeship and their location.  Check out our blog in August on what Apprentices earn!
