The young people could be involved in a variety of different roles, such as unloading mail from vans, moving it around in trolleys, sorting parcels and letters manually or supporting on postmen and postwomen's rounds, etc.
Royal Mail will use the young person's postcode to determine their local Royal Mail site. They will then determine what roles are available and put the local site manager in touch with the young person and their lead contact for the next steps.
Royal Mail recognise that the work placement is voluntary and so is able to be flexible with the start times and finishes, however as a general rule:
Deliveries start times between 09;00 – 10;00 and finish between 14;00 – 15;00
